About this product
Curated Dom Pérignon with provenance from Burgdy.
The winemaking year of 2004 goes down in the history of Dom Pérignon for its ease and generosity. The year 2004 unfolded almost perfectly. The weather was not extreme; the seasons transitioned smoothly. The weather in August was slightly cool followed by some weeks of dry heat which shaped the vintage. Thanks to energy carried over from 2003, the grapevine bloomed, fully expressing itself, bringing to maturity a generous harvest which began on 24th September. The fruit of 2004 remains discreet but becomes more clearly defined in this second life of the vintage. The pink grapefruit and the blood orange eventually make way for the fig. The extra time on the lees elevates the minerality of the vintage to its astonishing maturity, the signature of Dom Pérignon. Cocoa, mocha, roasted nuts, brioche and honey. The wine evolves through tension and weightlessness. The precision is tactile and sculptured. The entirety affirms itself elegantly, underlining itself with sappy, licorice notes. Aromas of salted lemons, green apples, olives, grilled pineapple, biscuits, saltines, white cocoa and salted caramel. So seductive, concentrated and intense. Fine and sleek. Energy. Concentrated, salty dried-fruit character. Keeps going. Transparent and fresh.
