About this product

Curated Domaine de la Romanée-Conti with provenance from Burgdy.

The 2015 Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Echezeaux Grand Cru is a remarkable expression of Burgundy's elegance and complexity. This wine displays a bright ruby color and an enticing bouquet of blackberries, raspberries, and forest floor, with subtle hints of exotic spices. On the palate, it offers a seductive tenderness overlaying a firm structure, with ripe, powdery tannins that provide a broad, textural experience. Renowned wine critic William Kelley praises it, noting, "This is the fastest maturing and least complex of all the Domaine's wines. It opens before the others, displaying a delightful clarity of expression: a seductive tenderness overlays a firm structure which allows it to evolve with elegance". A beautifully layered nose assembles very fresh notes of red currant, violet, lavender and earth undertones. There is both good punch and delineation to the succulent and utterly delicious medium-bodied flavors that possess a supple mid-palate that contrasts markedly with the dusty, focused and youthfully austere finish that is sufficiently firm to make clear that this is going to require at least moderate patience.
