Curated Robert Groffier with provenance from Burgdy.
Groffier consistently delivers fantastic wines, yet remains undervalued. The Bonne Mares here is floral, voluptuous and has great mid palate feel. Strawberry compote, blueberry and sweet cherries. It still has a tinge of detectable oak and baby fat on the back palate. It needs 5-8!'ore years to shed the sweetness but it is amazing stuff. Potential to upgrade. 94 points.

Opened the Robert Groffier Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru 2003 Red after a short decant. Drank side by side with the Clos de Beze 2001.

Arrived in perfect condition from Burgdy. I found So inviting on every sip and so much alive with fruits. We noticed Does, perhaps not the concentration (as with a lot of 2001’s) but for those seeking grace over power; what a perfect example of Burgundy Terroir and pure silk.
