About this product
Curated Ruinart with provenance from Burgdy.
The history of Ruinart rosé, the very first rosé champagne to make its appearance, dates back to the 18th century. While Ruinart rosé champagne first appeared over 250 years ago, its excellent quality remains the essential feature of the production of this delicate wine to this day. The wine is a sublime golden pink in colour, a subtle nose of cherry and freshly-picked red berries leads to a fleshy and delightfully smooth finish. Only Premier and Grand Cru sites supply the grapes for this excellent rosé, which is made up of 45 percent Chardonnay and 55 percent Pinot Noir, with 18 percent of the latter added as red wine. A subtle nose of rose hip, spice and wild strawberry; on the palate the wine marries exuberant fruit with a richly velvety texture. This lovely rosé Champagne is harmonious and bright, featuring sleek acidity layered with the lacy mousse and an expressive range of white peach, ripe raspberry and pickled ginger flavors, with hints of smoke and biscuit. Elegant. -WS Very attractive, bright and fragrant red fruits on the nose here. This has a wealth of fresh yeasty characters, fresh pastry and bread dough, plus red fruits, pink grapefruit, and some floral notes too. The palate has a strong nectarine and light cherry flavor thread. Chardonnay has a lot to say here; the texture is creamy and the balance right on the money.
